For the perfect adaptation of the required heat supply, most devices determine the so-called controlled variable, the unadapted room temperature. The heating controller then calculates the control difference between setpoint and actual value in order to set the required pulse.

Modern heat control aids

In addition to thermostats, which are switched on as long as they are switched on, manually set the heating to a certain temperature, there are a number of more modern models that allow you to set a variety of settings. 

Modern heating controllers can be used to set the desired temperature for an exact period of time - simply determine the desired time, the day of the week and the duration of the heating process. This makes it possible to lower the temperature at night or during an absence. In this way, a more pleasant feeling of living can be regulated and the energy efficiency of households can be increased.

The saving of energy through heating controllers is particularly evident in poorly insulated houses. There, due to lower outside temperatures, constantly cool air flows into the interior of the house, while warm air penetrates outside. Unregulated heating elements therefore dissipate energy that is not needed.
